Geosyntec is growing in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and we looking for an Environmental Engineer or Scientist for our Environmental Remediation, Groundwater, and Compliance Practices in the Kennesaw, Georgia office. Our ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience on projects involving collection of soil, soil gas, and/or groundwater data, environmental remediation, environmental compliance, interpretation of environmental data and development of conceptual site models, preparation of reports for client and state regulatory reviews and approvals and preparing technical proposals and cost estimates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting and/or managing projects involving collection of environmental data for the purpose of investigating a site for the presence of contaminants in multi-media;
- Interpreting environmental data and developing site-specific conceptual site models;
- Evaluating and designing remedial alternatives to address site contaminants;
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
- Preparing reports for client and regulatory reviews and approvals;
- Supporting technical proposals and cost estimates for environmental projects; supporting and/or managing project financials; and
- Developing client relationships via routine client interactions in support of project tasks, project meetings, and business development opportunities.

- Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, including routine client-requested drug screening, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
- Fieldwork: Up to 50%
- Overnight travel: Up to 30%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth sciences (geology or hydrology), or environmental (or applicable) engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in geology or environmental (or applicable) engineering. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.). (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of experience in an environmental (or applicable) consulting environment or applicable regulatory agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Proven track record for client management and technical leadership. (preferred)
- Project experience involving environmental investigation and/or remediation. (required)
- Experience working on federal projects (e.g., Department of Defense, US EPA) or applicable state environmental projects (e.g., GA EPD HSRA). (preferred)
- Detailed knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA or applicable GA environmental regulations. (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
